The Great Outdoors

Over the weekend of August 17th - 19th, Mark, Icha and Bella went camping! We all stayed at the "Thousand Rivers" campground just outside of Yosemite. We arrived late Friday night, set up camp and hit the sack in our tent. The next morning after a breakfast of pancakes (and about 8 cups of coffee for Mark) we drove into Yosemite. We had a sensational day! Yosemite is beautiful and we plan to go back sometime in the coming months.

Camping in America: all you need is a car and a tent!

An Interns Work is Never Done

For the last 6 weeks Mark has been working as a principal intern at Peters Township Middle School in Peters Township, Pennsylvania. This internship is the last requirement of Mark's 'Masters in Educational Leadership' from California University of Pennsylvania.

It's been a great summer in which Mark has learned much about the ins and outs of being a succesful principal.

The ever able Dr. Tony Merante shows Mark that being a great principal often means doing whatever it takes to get the job done.

Mark shows off his newly learned skills!

On this Friday, August 10th, the big drive back to California begins. On Friday, August 17th Mark starts his new job as a kindergarten teacher at Bullis-Purissima school in Los Altos Hills, California.
