Christmas in March....? Nothing in Asia surprises us anymore.

On our last morning while Icha & Bella slept in... Ma & Mark took Jake out for one last exotic and authentic Malaysian breakfast!

Kuala Lumpur V

The next day of our trip (Wednesday) we headed to Chinatown and the famous Petaling Street for some serious shopping.

Ma, Jake and Icha smile across the road from a street that has sold all kinds of good crap for nearly a hundred years.

Adding to our cultural experience.... we took the subway/light rail back to our hotel!

Kuala Lumpur IV

More KLCC --- after our visit to the Science Center (which Bella loved so much we play 'science center' at home each day now...) we made a stop at the huge Kinokuniya book store. Ma was kind enough to buy both Jake and Bella their own books!

When we got back to our hotel later that evening... Jake showed off just how much he loved his new book. Thanks Ma!

Kuala Lumpur Pt III

On Tuesday of our trip we headed into Kuala Lumpur itself. Our stop: Kuala Lumpur City Center (KLCC). This is the area the includes the iconic Petronas Towers. Once the tallest buildings in the world, these twin towers are now the third tallest such stuctures on earth. Lots of fun stuff to do in and around the KLCC!

Another day.... another Starbucks. Pa we missed you!


We spent a couple of hours in the "Pertonsians" science discovery center. A great interactive museum! Bella loved working the "SuperDig" machine.


Jake amuses himself while Icha and Bella do some exploring.


88 degress and sunny outside? No problem... Bella jumped right on this 'virtual skiing' ride!

Kuala Lumpur Part II

After an hour ride from the airport we arrived at our hotel just outside of Kuala Lumpur. Our room had a huge bathtub.... big enough for both Jake and Bella!


After her bath.... Bella spent some time reading to Ma.


The next day the four youngsters spent a few hours at the Sunway Lagoon waterpark. Great fun!


After a day in the sun, we headed to the Sunway mall attached to our hotel. Jake loved playing in the little indoor play area.


Ever the scholar... Jake takes a minute to sit down and curl up with a good book.

Kuala Lumpur I

Last week Mark and Bella had the week off of school for Spring Break so we all went to Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia for 5 nights! Ma was here visitng us for the umpteenth time... and we all flew from JKT to KL on Sunday morning.
