Family Fun Fair!

Last weekend was the "Family Fun Fair" here at JIS. This annual event is always one of the highlights of the year as hundreds of JIS parents, kids and teachers get together for a day full of games, food, rides and lots of fun.

Like Father Like Son they say... and in our family it is no different. Just like his proud Daddy, Jacob has become a fashion icon.... setting the trend for millions of toddlers worldwide.

Creative Parenting

As all of you who have met our wonderful daughter know, Bella has no shortage of energy. To help settle her down and keep her in one place we devised a new place for her to 'rest.' :-)

Kuala Lumpur V

The next day of our trip (Wednesday) we headed to Chinatown and the famous Petaling Street for some serious shopping.

Ma, Jake and Icha smile across the road from a street that has sold all kinds of good crap for nearly a hundred years.

Kuala Lumpur IV

More KLCC --- after our visit to the Science Center (which Bella loved so much we play 'science center' at home each day now...) we made a stop at the huge Kinokuniya book store. Ma was kind enough to buy both Jake and Bella their own books!

Kuala Lumpur Pt III

On Tuesday of our trip we headed into Kuala Lumpur itself. Our stop: Kuala Lumpur City Center (KLCC). This is the area the includes the iconic Petronas Towers. Once the tallest buildings in the world, these twin towers are now the third tallest such stuctures on earth. Lots of fun stuff to do in and around the KLCC!

Another day.... another Starbucks. Pa we missed you!


We spent a couple of hours in the "Pertonsians" science discovery center. A great interactive museum! Bella loved working the "SuperDig" machine.
